Game Overview:
This project was meant to be a showcase in level design. I was tasked with creating a level using the mechanics provided and working with a team of fellow designers to tell a cohesive story. My level showcases my abilities to create a full level from blockmesh to a polished, playable product.

I created a beautiful, narrative-driven level by executing design principles such as gates and valves, leading lines, and perspective. This project was my first time creating a level from scratch, and I must admit that the concept of blockmesh can initially feel counter-intuitive. However, now I see the importance of having a solid blockout. I love the quote, "if you feel bad about deleting and starting over, you've gone too far," regarding blockmesh. Level concepts are fluid in the early stages, and designers need to be flexible and adapt to changing elements. Creating a blockmesh is a way to show the rest of the team a rough draft of their ideas.

This project is the one I am most proud of. I feel as if it showcases my creativity and story-telling strengths. The level turned out great, and creating and sharing something that came from my brain was an accomplishment.
